Looks like another boss mix…
nice mix… not all to my taste really but nicely done n’ stuff
Really good eclectic stuff… Prefered the end of the mix from the Funky Fever to the end…
And the Speach Defect song is a beautiful gem.
Yeah ‘No Peace’ is a current favourite from their new album…which is well worth a purchase.
LOVED this mix….totally bang on, every single tune was like sex for my ears..
Everyone of your mixes has hit the spot, but this one really pushed it up a notch.
The first tune with the accapella I’m in two minds about, I think it’ll be a grower but I take my hat off to ya for giving it a try.
I reckon that we need to do a collaboration, your choice of tunes is very similar to mine…
Thanks for comments, I can appreciate some of it may not to everyones taste as it’s a bit of a mixed bag. The first track was a bit of an experiment trying to get acapellas to work with other tracks, I’ve got a lot to learn on doing those, as I’m sure I’m not going about it the right way, hopefully I’ll get the hang of it.
Would be be well up for a collaboration, as it seems we have a very similar style in music, it was your mixes that I was trying to find lead me to this site.
Good lad, I’ll be in touch in a bit. I’ve got a load of tunes that could do with a good home….
As for the accapellas and instrumentals I think that it’ll just happen mate.I think the main part is to try and match the chorus/breakdown in a track and getting the vocals to do the same, easier said than done though 😉 I stumble across them tbh with only bpms to go on it’s all about trial and error, and having a hunch for something that might work. I’m listening to it again and it does sound better the second time around. A touch more volume in the accapella would have made it a bit better; the vocals are lost a bit but its defo a grower…..
had a listen to this last night – interesting spread of tunes and the accapella worked on the first track, just didnt seem loud enough. But yeah, good stuff and made me think of summer – enjoyable 😀
Liked all, with some being real gems.Liked your passage through. Many times it drew my attention anew with the variety of tracks.
Actually,my fave was meca.Amazing,eh?I was surprised.
Liked the pella use, more volume on the pella next time.Often pella volume can be determined by visual inspection in the program.
Good work on the cover as well.Very commercial.Sure to be an aid in downloading decisions.
Cheers for the feedback, you’re right on the acapella. The volume does need to be louder. I think I heard it so many times over an over again it was burnt into my brain, a fresh pair of ears would’ve been good.
You’re correct on the cover as well, I went for the “sex sells” route!
Excellent stuff. I’ve had this on repeat for a few days. I think it hangs together as your best overall mix, but doesn’t beat the 25 minute stretch in Volume 2 from about 8 or 9 mins in. I’m with Dangerscouse on this one – your selections seem perfectly suited to my listening.
The only bit I disagree with is about the cover styles for vols 1-3: they’re cheap compared to the quality of the music – your music is not aimed at the lowest common denominator, but the covers are. A minor point!
Ha, you could be right, they are a bit on the cheap side sort of like a bad R’n’B Garage album. The idea was to make them look like a set but I reckon it could be time to change the style of the covers.
That was really really nice.
Lots of sunshine music, & I dont just mean Osibisa !
Cheeers dood.
🙂
I liked most of this but the mix of breaks and dub in the last half hour hit the spot for me 🙂
Nicely done. Keeps you interested.
Liked it a lot.
wicked mix man
I can see that we are into the same sorta stuff, some of my all time tunes in there, peggy lee, nitty gritty, speech defect and some awesome tracks I haven’t heard (esp. boca 45 mix and diplo)
nice and varied, right up my street!
that romeo remix is badass 🙂
Cheers, for the comments. You’re right that Max Romeo track is awesome, but have no idea who it’s by.
I love that Chase the devil remix. I’m not really a D&B fan, but, when it’s used to remix stuff, I seem to love it. MUst try to get that tune methinks.
wildest!
