Done this one a while back now (about 8 months ago I think) and for some reason it’s never been posted here; it was posted on another website though so some of you might have already heard it.
As you can probably see it’s mainly hiphop, funk, soul with some surprises.
Well Mr Scouse the Mixing was impecable (didn’t notice any flaws at all)
2nd song even got my wife bopping throughout the car journey
asking why i dont play music like this…
Got this one from the laid back show, it’s one of my favourites, great mixes and great tracks, that Parov Stelar remix is such a good song I had to hunt it down straight after listening to it.
A sweet listen, indeed.Marvelous work on the mixing,& a tip of the hat to your special efforts at keeping the sound consistent during the tracks from varios periods.
Good 1 on the cover.
Blinding mix, with some blinding mixes on it – eclectic selection, but very tight throughout.
When looking at the tracklisting I wasn’t sure how you could get from Amy to INXS via Steinski but you showed that it’s possible. I’m off for another listen now, nice one.
Cheers everyone, much appreciated! Next mix is an even more eclectic selection…… including Shy FX, The Rakes, Marilyn Monroe, Watch TV, Siouxise & The Banshees, Thunderball & Skeewiff amongst others…
I’m still only scratching the surface Len 😉
I’d love to hear your version Louis…
Nice to hear that you’re gonna listen again Mark, cheers mate.
man this mix just gets better as it bounces along, its so perfect for beasting out a 2000 word dissertation in a one nighter, doesnt require too much thought from me, the songs are easy to listen to and the samples are awesome

As you’ll probably understand when it’s your own mix you get hyper-critcal about the smallest mistakes that other people don’t even notice…
Glad Mrs Timeloop liked it as well 😉

Thanx Stu, nice finish with Nina Simone there.
James Brown is always welcome and Amy really felt like it belonged in here.

I love that remix of Nina Simone… nothing too adventurous needed otherwise you’d just kill the song.

Cheers Steve. Yeah, the Stand By Me remix is boss…
As for Siouxsie Sioux……… ‘Peek-A-Boo’, their funkiest track imo.
The good lady and I really liked this Stu.
Using the odd “commercial” track amongst the hidden gems work really well and it definitely is the soundtrack to a top night out.
Cheers Ken… and Mrs Ken too 😉
