Der DiskothekerTM – Come Closer

This one is dedicated to my friend Peter Kroener who lives in Paris as singer and songwriter. “OÃ¹ Les Filles Vont” is one of his songs. Regrettably, it’s not as known as it should be. Most of the people who hear it love it immediately, but I’m not sure if Peter can appreciate what I did with it. He’s not very fond of mix music. We will see… Of course I hope some of you will like the following three quarters of an hour…

Some very good stuff on here, nice one. The shouty nonsense in the Wicked Games version is almost a mix killer for me though.

The jazzy stuff lost me some,but from 9 minutes on till near the end,it was finestkind.
Kudos for the transition between scarbrough & fufkin.
Fittingly fine cover,too.

have to agree on wicked games – love the original, lost me with this version – overall a good vibe though and nicely mixed 🙂

Well, I should be more careful with inside jokes. The screaming voice is Pipi Lotti Rist’s. She is an internationally known swiss video aritst. And as I pass several hours a week with art students… Special thanks to Useo who always pays regard to the covers as well. And special thanks to HP: Looking forward to hearing how you will mix Dobson/Simon.

Interesting mix, with some good ideas and some very nice sections – particularly liked the Message bits with the old lady, and the Sex Machine sections.

I’ve got the Wicked track with Pipilotti Rist on a Dirty Edits Compilation, and didn’t like it on that either!
