Looks the DB’s mate…
Yey – saw you were floating around the b0x a few days back & was hoping you were going to drop a mix – and what an awesome looking selection it looks too…
on the d/l… this’ll keep me busy…
haha yeah been meaning to get my arse in gear and move beyond the 15-20 minute myspace mix for a while! hope it doesn’t disappoint!
big shout out to all the djs up here, been listening for ages and glad to finally join the party!
This totally jumped the queue, so send your complaints to Kidwho, P.O. Box 1, London 😉
As good as I hoped it would be Louis, really impressed. I’ve never mastered the art of quick mixes, something that I should do especially with hiphop style beats, but you’ve nailed it on this! Is the scratching yours as well? Very impressed if it is. I guess that some are part of the tunes though.
Some boss tunes in there that I’ll be hunting down……
Wow! what a great a mix and so many good tracks. Always good to hear some scratching, shame I can’t scratch to save my life.
thanks guys!! i’d be lying if i said it was all in one take – i did it in 4 bits and stitched them together. it makes it easier to plan in more detail and pack in more tunes! plus serato makes it easier with the cues and looping – are you on serato stu?
thanks again for the feedback!!
Amazing! what a killer set, scratching and vip songs
big up to my man the kid who, nice to see you on the b0x mate…
wicked mix, making me jealous for not posting a new one for ages! My only complaints – your scratching is getting too good, and i was gonna put ‘yesterday’s folks’ in my new one!
lol 😉
Gotta agree with Matt, US69 was gonna make it on a mix of mine sometime soon as well…
I use CD decks (Denon DNS5000’s, and I’ve got the use of my best mate’s Pioneer CDJ800 as well for the time being). I’ve contemplated Serato as it is seems loads easier than having hundreds of CD’s, but for the moment I love my CD decks, especially with all the functions. So we’ll see it might make more sense in the future…
Bloody hell – one listen and I neeeed toooo PARTYYYY!!!
Ace tunes, ace scratching & one ACE mix!
luved it!
…right where’s the nearest disco palace then?… Camberwell here I come…;)
Oooh. This is special. I’m extremely jealous of your skills.
this is one for me ipod.
mad skillz and interesting to hear serato being used to its fullest! did you do the looping on the fly? anyhoo – this rocked the spot, hats off; you can cut the wax 😀
Top Mix. I love the way it shifts gears with ease, never missing a step.
thanks guys… all the loops were sorted during practice runs beforehand. there’s that new auto loop thing on the latest update but i’m not totally convinced! thanks again for all the great feedback, i’m pretty neurotic when it comes to recording – which can be a hindrence, ive only recorded about 2 hours worth of mixes in the last year or so – all the nice comments have given me a burst of confidence! already thinking about next month!
quality mix – well done. Love the tracks, nice variety and really well put together.
Absolutely blinding mix, and some tight scratching. Even though most of the breaks and tunes were familiar I wasn’t bored for a minute – it just kept coming. Volume 2 please.
Had me grinnin like a fool 🙂
Top work Mr.Kid.
More please.
Thank you.
🙂
I’ve got an itch that needs scratchin 🙂
Loved this, especially the first half up to Al Green. Love that remix. Good tempo.
Stool Pigeon is a tune that defies time.
Look forward to the next one.
This is one of the best mixes that I’ve heard on here.
I’ll be blasting it at weekend. Keep it up. Excellent choice and warm flow.
Big scratchin’
Thanks Kid 😆
