Hey, hey, what an honour! This looks tasty even without the cheesey cover. Good to see the traditionally huge tracklist back as well.
Ode to Don Jose is a total classic. It’s always been one of my absolute favourites. It was just a small track in the middle of one of the ambient-ish Art of Noise albums but is still a pretty unique and lovely bit of music. Way back in the mists of time (maybe about 15 years ago) I did a 4-track MOD file remix of it in the “demoscene”.
Anyway, enough bleher, downloading now – back soon.
(and, of course, I’d strongly recommend you all listen to “It’s Not That Important” as well 🙂 )
Edward,
I totally agree about the “Ode to Don Jose”… it’s a genius little ditty!! I remember hearing it for the first time many moons ago and I kept replaying it in amazement and wonder! It was a captured moment in time. That track only made a small cameo in this mix but I had to throw it in!! 🙂 Art Of Noise – Who’s Afraid Of The Art Of Noise is one of the albums that sucked me into electronic music! Along with many others of course. I do believe I am going to be back on electronix for a while now. WooHoo! For me, it was the early 80’s when I was indoctrinated into the glorious analog sounZ… never been the same since!
I have to be totally honest and say that this is the first of your works that I have listened to. I guess its mainly because I’m not normally very keen on the way that most people arrange / re-arrange the tracks in these kinds of mixes.
That said, I have to say I really enjoyed listening to this, this evening and I will be checking out your other material for sure! 😀
Admittedly there were a couple of small sections I wasn’t so keen on, but then you can’t please everyone.
Overall though, an enjoyable listen, and as I said before, I’ll definitely be checking more of your stuff in the near future!
As expected – really enjoyed this one. I can see where Tom’s coming from, the green cheese mixes aren’t ones you’d put on to rock a party or anything. However, I love the way they’re clearly the product of a man with a giant record collection, good taste and a lot of time on his hands!
Very cleverly blended and a good mix of atmospheres. Just listening again now, and I think I like the kraftwerk / numbers-y section best. Great spoken samples as well.
Bong,
Thanks for the kind words! They are encouraging 🙂
Warvadal,
Yes, I like my mixes to span across many feelings and emotions. Many of them for me personally have a lot of personal history tied into certain combination of tracks. Music has such a powerful way of bringing you back to a place you once were long ago and far away 🙂 For example: that little bit of Gary Numan – Down In The Park… oh wow! I would need two full pages to describe the story that takes me back to!
Edward,
Thanks for the compliments… Yes, too many albums… A disease I think, I can’t get enough! I am highly addicted to music!!! 😉 I just love the music!!! The mixing of atmospheres is what I spend the most time on, glad you noticed it. …and yes, my mixes are not for parties or even sharing a listen with a friend, they are for quiet moments with headphones and one’s own thoughts. Glad you enjoyed the mix. Already starting my next…
Well, glad ya’ll liked the journey 🙂 Thanks for the kind words. More to come! …and more eletroidz of lovliness next time! Listening to “Entire – MiXed by Useo8” as I’m typing this and it’s making me want to dive back into my New Wave dayZ… 🙂 🙂 🙂
Me? hehe! Yeah,do that.I can only imagine.
This is wonderful.I am way into your work & appreciate very much your take on mixing,& your taste in tunes.
Hard to describe & separate in my mind here, but all sections held my interest,& the flow was a blast.
Thanks much!
Eh … interesting journey…
I’m with Tom Edwards on this one, your first mix that I listened to (mainly the same reason), but as Tom, I found it agreeable (minus a few bits) and will be checking more of yours in the future.
I kinda lost myself in the tracklisting map but solved it quick, put it aside & just took the ride.
Useo,
“Hard to describe & separate in your mind” – Perfect! That is my goal with these mixes, to take one somewhere else, something different, something outside the box of normalacy. My other aim is to have track selection that may be new to many an exploratorium if you will 🙂
Mitzura,
Hey man! Glad you took a listen 🙂 Also glad it was not too disagreable. My mixes are different for sure, mainly because I am constantly trying to cram differrent genras together so they will get along and I love messn’ with the atmospheres. I just enjoy the challenge of it all. Like I told Tom, I recommend you give my “Green Cheese Vol 39 (Reality Adjustment)” mix a try, it’ll fry yer mind! Great fun!
still listening… so far ive never had any idea where this was going and there’s a permanent element of curiosity and surprise. adore the part around 36 with the spoken word samples bout the box. you pulled it off once again wrapping together such an ecclectic variety of styles into a cohesive journey. excellent ride, want more

Noted Green Cheese 39, will do.
so Greencheese is back once again with his trademark bewildering tracklistings! really liked this one (just got around to listening to it this morning…)
I’m going to post it on my blog as “recommended” 🙂
Hey Timeloop… WooHoo… glad you EnJoYeD the ride. More to come. I’m so glad to be back in the electroniX groove… I was SO stuck in the RocK mode for the longest time! I am being seduced back to my love of electroniX! I forgot how it changed my world when I first heard the joyous analog sounds many moons ago! 🙂 My Life Is a Love Parade… Wooooo!!!!!
Good stuff yet again Mr Cheese. The first two thirds are particularly nicely layered. A couple of iffy tracks in the last third for my ears, but it’s definitely a good thing that you spread the net so widely.
The Cheese mixes are always worth a listen, and I’ve kept quite a few including this one.

first off… before I even download it… what?! where’s the classic cover image??
My creative juices have inspired me to deviate from the classic plate of yummy green cheese… 🙂

Wow!!! This looks the absolute dog’s proverbials. Can’t wait to get home and d/l 🙂
PS I agree about Don Jose also, it’s that good it’s almost as good as A Nation Rejects 😉
thanks hp

Hey Tom,
Glad you took a listen 🙂 If you tackle another Green Cheese mix, I would like to suggest this one first:
Green Cheese Vol 39 (Reality Adjustment)
I was totally inspired when I made that one!
Cheers!
liked this mix, of yours, the best… so far
Very nice mix. It works well for all my ever-changing moods.
Peace.

good samplage and nice spread of choons – all in all a tasty package of fromage 😀
Playing this at work and enjoying it lots – yeah it’s been good fun guessing from the tracklisting when the choons I know will appear!
Another lovely musical journey, with some very pleasant surprises on the way Mr Cheese.
And another one of those mixes that are like the soundtrack to a movie thats never been made ?
Thank ye kindly sir.

For some reason this wouldn’t load on to my walkman so I’ve had to wait and listen to it at the PC.
Well worth the wait, stunning journey through a myriad of tunes. Really enjoyed this.
