Hello mr disko – this is on my w/e listening list 😉 lookin’ forward to it!
If that isnt a feel good mix, then I dont know what is !!!
GREAT stuff ! Mambo-tastico !!
This is another one to d/l & play loud in the car during our long hot summer ?
With the top down.
Thank you Mr. Disko.
🙂
wasnt my cup of tea, but on that note there was loads of tunes i liked
and some cool sounding electro Vibes mixed with Sambo/Salsa/Tango sounding music
Mambotastic indeed very nicely done dancey yet almost mellow 🙂
Nice mix, very interesting take on lounge/exotica, cheers hp 🙂
Made me brush my theeth in rhythm.
I loved the way you added rhythm to several (if not all) the songs.
I’ll play it to my wife tomorrow, I’m almost sure she’ll say something like this :
“Why the hell can’t you make make things like that, do you need a more powerful computer?”
And my answer to that will be something like :
“I don’t need to do it, lots of people do it better than me, and they live in the wonderful world of b00mb0x”.
Cheers, have a nice week-end.
Ps : after this is not a love song, I almost thought you would have played “heart of glass” or “play that funky music”.
i wish my wife would ask this:
“Why the hell can’t you make make things like that, do you need a more powerful computer ?â€
As my answer to that will be something like :
yeah my computer is outdated and needs an UPGRADE…! lol
My best regards to your wife dEZ! And thanks to all of you for your feedbacks. I’m glad that the mix works for you as well.
enjoyed this… not at all what I expected from the comments so far. no idea how to describe it to people, partly because there is some excellent variety in there.
Started rough for me,then it got very nice, then at the end I had some resistance again. Not what I’m familiar with,so please pardon me.
I appreciated the exposure.Much I liked of it.Some not so much.
Nice cover art.Fitting.
Sort of on the lines of what Dave said, just mixed feelings about it, would say 50-50.
Anyway thanx.
Flipping bonkers! 🙂 Interesting stuff, mixing occasionally a bit noisy/chaotic – not bad, just a lot of things happening at once that didn’t always gel for me, but I liked most of the tunes, I love the lead vocal on the “I Don’t Speak Spanish” tune.
Loved the first track and this got better as it progressed. Really impressed, and this’ll be burnt to disc for repeat listens.
Sorry for the late comment as well, no idea why but it got lost in the pile…
No need to excuse DS! It’s good to get a comment like yours weeks after the mix has been posted. Glad you like it. Thanks to you and all the others who gave me a word. Happy days to all of you. Springtime is coming!
And you thought Dangerscouse was a later commenter!
I just listened to this while staring at work yesterday and absolutely loved it. Different to the usual fayre and really great stuff.
I liked it all, but the standout tracks for me were the “I don’t speak spanish” song (I love it when singers do a bit of spoken scripted ad-lib in the middle) and the version of Sunny. You’re right, there are so many great versions of Sunny – one of my favourites is Leonard Nimmoy’s version which turns it into a melancholy ballard.
I will definitely be returning to this mix.
