I was shooting for a very raw rock theme on this one so many RaRe tracks were selected. As a result the quality is not perfect like I would like, but hey.. It’s rock man, just crank it! π EnJoY the ride…

Hey Green Cheese on the d/l now, lovely cover as well as a spot-on looking track list. hhhhmmm there’s an idea for an extreme mix… how about an hour of applause from various concerts over the years… perhaps not eh? π cheers hp
…a mix of only applause… nice! π I was getting a kick out of have the crowd for a Melanie concert cheer for zappa and a punk rock crowd at a clash concert cheering for Peter frampton and so on. Just made me smile π
King… yep… first album change for me out of all my mixing. I was totally inspired with this mix and could have kept on going with it for months, but I figured I better stop before it all just go too crazy.
there’s a brilliant one from one of the “you can’t do that on stage anymore” vol’s.. vol 1 i think .. anyways i digress. the crowd is from milan and there’s a mini riot going on, the police are on one side and the army the other and they are firing teargas into the crowd with zappa pleading for calm …mix that with the sex pistols atlanta crowd and yer might be onto a winna . hehe
lol!!! I have that album you speak of and know the crowd segment π Shoulda used it… I could of had the riot just before Simon and Garfunkel… A crowd rioting for Simon & Garfunkel would be just too funny! π
lol i think a challenge now is to get loads of crowd samples and stick them together with b00mb0x glue. work some magic and tap 3 times. then we can all see the magical outcome… but then just only crowd surges could only be bearable for a short period of time so maybe some simple drumloops and melodys
hey, just thought of antoher good crown bit… It’s from a very old Floyd track where they capture a soccer crowd singing, quite lovely. I beleive it’s from “The Memories of man in his old age, are the deads of a man in his prime” don’t know track name… either part of that track of after it before… auh… can’t remember… anyway, would be good addition. Would defianelty need some musical noise to go with the crowd mix π
Christ on a bike, what have I started here… so of course you then need to use the “no more rain, no more rain” chant from Woodstock 69 and end the mix with Rotten’s “ever get the feeling you’ve been cheated” from the Pistol’s final gig in San Francisco… Over to you Lirpa!! π

Looking good GC… I’m always amazed at your tracklists, the structure looks so complicated but the mixes always sound very coherent.
