Another funky breaks mix similar to ‘Sound As…’ & ‘Party Animal’. Technically speaking this is one of my favourite mixes i.e. the mixing part went well (imo), but the volume levels at times were a bit erratic! Starts off midtempo, and builds to quite an energetic level at the end. Some new, some old, some classics and a re-make of a classic……
Mixed live on my Denon CD decks…

lol, started off a little too funky for me (kinda reminded me of 70’s porn which aint a bad thing), then once i turned my back on it. it kicked me in the nuts and held my head to the speakers…
i had no option but to listen from the start again holding my crotch…
Cheers Timeloop, I usually do start them off slowish and then build and build…
The mixing was all the more pleasing as I’ve been going through a real ‘dry patch’ i.e. no motivation, imagination and worst of all not ‘hearing’ the beats, this has lasted for about two or three weeks. I just couldn’t get my head round it, and that lead to frustration and so on and so forth.
I think that I’m out of it now, although my next mix will be the acid test, as it is so eclectic it’ll defo test me.
not hearing beats is Dj’s worst nightmare. it happened to me once playing at my local club… i almost cried as the only thing i could do was fade in fade out…
^^ but i was pretty minced so this could of been why… i listened to it again mate, and enjoyed the way it creeps up on you. also away to play it on 2 online radio stations in 2 mins time
Dangerspouse has not been good recently and has just had a successful back operation on a ruptured disc… I guess that the extreme stress hasn’t helped.
Nice one TL, the ‘creeping up’ was intended i.e. builds up in tempo and intensity.
Your club nightmare sounds terrible. I guess that you just lose confidence and don’t try anything at all.
Nice one for the online radio stations as well. There are almost enough tunes for a sequel as well…
Cheers B!! All good so far, but she can’t bend, pick up, twist or do much at all for the next four weeks… so I’ve got loads of time off up until 2nd Jan… Woo Hoo!!! Only gonna work for 8 days of December!!!
Cheers Sol!! Means a lot coming from you & Timeloop i.e. experienced DJ’s who have been there and done it… not to say that other people’s comments aren’t equally as appreciated!
Hey Stu – another f00kin awesome mix – I put it on while I was putting up even MORE xmas lights – just kept coming up with the goods – some v.funky tunes here mate!
Mrs S.A.T thought it was something of my making – luved it! Grrrr! He! He!
So sorry to hear of Dangerspouse – best wishes to you all over the holiday season.
And you know FK5 – Spirit Of ‘75 passed me by in the summer – didn’t move me to get it – but bloody love it on here! Doh!
This must be the about the 10th Dangerscouse mix I’ve downlaoded (found my first one on laid back show as a podcast) and as always it’s a joy to listen to.
Got halfway through this and my PC crashed, no surprises there!
From what I’ve heard so far though its an excellent mix. And as you say, technically your best to which I’d have to concur.
Lovin’ the Funk, going to hopefully listen to the rest later. Looking forward to it! 😀
Now that’s exactly what I’m talkin’ about! Again!Excellent!
2 thumbs up & Norman’s 2 remixes really made my day,
you know me 🙂
P.S. Do you have any idea Stu on how to get a hold of those 2 Fatboy remixes as of, everywhere I seem to go for digital purchases I hit territory restrictions on most Fatboy Slim & Skint releases (you can tell I’m very happy about that!)

Well up to the usual standard!!
Fairly rattles along at a furious funky pace.
And DJ Deekline’s lyrics had me chortling & sniggering!!
🙂
Great stuff.
Thanks again.
i’m totally amazed that you’ve listened to it that quickly!! Cheers FS & FeRDS, comments are always appreciated.
Yeah, the Deekline lyrics are not very child friendly… although I’m sure that my 14 year old nephew would argue with that!!!
Good stuff!
Excellent mix!!!! Very refreshing… So much new stuff for me here! LOVE it!!!
Cheers GC, glad ya liked it!! Nice one!

9/10 (down 1 point cause my nuts are sore)
very smooth mix man.
Hahaha, fair enough for losing a point!! 😉

good to hear the op was a success, here’s to a speedy recovery
Cheers B!! All good so far, but she can’t bend, pick up, twist or do much at all for the next four weeks… so I’ve got loads of time off up until 2nd Jan… Woo Hoo!!! Only gonna work for 8 days of December!!!
Glad to hear all is well in the scouse house.
I was serious about diggin this. I have it in the car stereo and have been blasting it.
Keep ’em coming bud.
Cheers Sol!! Means a lot coming from you & Timeloop i.e. experienced DJ’s who have been there and done it… not to say that other people’s comments aren’t equally as appreciated!
I don’t check this site for one day and there goes Dangerscouse… at it again! on the download now…
hopefully I’ll find some time tomorrow to give it a go! I expect it’s another top mix from the scouse…
yeah… this hit the ipod this morning when i went to work… top notch!
Awww Yeahh! Love the selection, very good breakbeat, and a nod to classics as well as new funk.
Cheers all!! 🙂
just as I thought — another great mix…
don’t sleep on this one!

Keep em spinning!
Cheers Steve!! It’s strange how a tune can sound so much better in a mix than as a stand alone track… I’ve done that before on a few occasions.
Cheers for the best wishes mate, same to you and yours!!
nice mix lad.. first 40 or so minutes ruled my world 😉
Cheers B, I assumed that it wouldn’t be your cup of tea tbh… I know that you’re not much of a breaks fan… same goes for you as well Matt (Megatrip).
Very nice to know that I’ve impressed both of ya!! Cheers fellas!
will give this a listen soon. Funny old world – i’m probably gonna play that plumps retouch of stakker at the next party i’m djing at. killer acid
‘Stakker Re-Touch’ blew my socks off when I heard it last week…
had a listen now – good stuff stu, mixing a dream, i think i’ve overdosed on funky breaks a little this year, but enjoyed the tunes – nice work! 😀
Cheers buddy! how come you’ve changed your profile and avatar?
This must be the about the 10th Dangerscouse mix I’ve downlaoded (found my first one on laid back show as a podcast) and as always it’s a joy to listen to.
Ta very much Benchmark!! 🙂 made up that you’ve been enjoying them…
Got a few more eclectic mixes in the pipeline and another reggae mix to come in the new year.
Got halfway through this and my PC crashed, no surprises there!
From what I’ve heard so far though its an excellent mix. And as you say, technically your best to which I’d have to concur.
Lovin’ the Funk, going to hopefully listen to the rest later. Looking forward to it! 😀
used a different computer and it gave mr t’other tape. 😀
Cheers Tom… always appreciated. Hope you enjoy the second half as much as the first, gets a bit tougher but it’s still funky.
Flippin ‘eck – I’ve reached the last bit now and it’s all going off!
Ha ha ha!!! It does ‘pick up’ a bit in the second half
Now that’s exactly what I’m talkin’ about! Again!Excellent!
