This looks my type of Salad!!! Most of these are boss tunes, and the few that I don’t know I’m sure are boss as well……
Welcome to the box!!!
Great stuff Salad!! Loved every tune and enjoyed your loose mixing style. Once again pleased to hear Fat Freddy’s represented, am moving to NZ in a couple of months so hope to catch them live. Thanks for a great trip! Welcome BTW.
On the d/l…
I don’t know 3/4 of those songs…
Miam…
Be back tomorrow for the comment…
Hello from Belgium.
Narh narh a good salad needs cheese… where ya cheese mate? Lots of lettuce & tomato but no cheese.
Hi everyone, thanks for all your lightly toasted words of welcome! I am also a little bashful at your kind criticism. Dr Hyde you made me laugh, “loose mixing style” is an understatement!! Hehehe. Cheers and such x
wOW I’ve just seen my tape for the first time too, like it!
thoroughly enjoyed! un capolavoro as i believe they say here! xwx
Very tasty mix sir!
Can’t wait to listen to the second part!
Where do you get those ingredients?
Ps: Sound could be better, no? or is it my soundcard? me want 192 Kbs sir
Uhhhh I forgot to ask…
What software do you use?
I use Mixmeister 3, which is quite excellent if I may say so.
Last Ps: Nice blending collection of hip-hop jazzy soul tunes… (written after two hearings, but there will be more…)
hi dEZ,
thanks for the commentary.
the software is just a free one from the net called kramixer. i can’t seem to change the file quality when recording unfortunately. i advise everyone to increase the volume 100% on itunes if they have that software!
thanks again,
salad xx
Lol, btw Well done your mix has been here for 2 days and already has like 124 downloads congrats man, oh and btw i like the mix and tunes involved…
This is too cool for school!!
Fantastic collection of tunes.
Thank you soo much Mr Salad.
Stuff like Aretha & Humble Pie have got me grinnin like a fool!!!
Muy bueno.
🙂
Boss selection, Salad… could turn me into a vegetarian 😉
Some of the tunes were criminally short, for example ‘Return Of The Django’ but overall it was very good. Loved all of the tunes, and you’ve reminded me how good that QSO remix of ‘Get Down’ is… been meaning to hunt that down for ages, now it’s gonna be top priority.
Cheers, and I’m looking forward to the next helping…
Agree with D-scouse, some really short trax but great tracklisting overall…
For next time, is it possible to have oil? And naked women? 😉
make mine a large helping! this is a cracking debut, quirky, strange and disconnected by equal measure, but with its own original glue sticking it all together.
Excellent stuff, really enjoyed this. So many tunes that I didn’t know but sounded like they should be familiar, and jammed together in a very good style (loose or not). I agree on the sound quality though, could be better… maybe work on this for Part 2? It can really make the difference.
Yay 300 downloads! Target reached! Part two nearly done. Thanks for the comments everyone x
Hey Salad, don’t know if you are still around to read this, but a question for you as I couldn’t find your email address. Made a compilation of stuff that I fancied from B00mb0x and thinking of posting it with the links to the mixers. It includes stuff from this mix. OK with that?
