Hi b00mb0xers –
Because I’m not ableto(n) use my usual audio weapon of choice, it recently gave me a good old fashioned v’s up! I’m back with the crashbandicoot edits and a brief dabble of the kenwood blenders for this one. I also managed to get a bit of free time to spend a few sunny days in the boogieshed playing some old school cuts – hence the mid section has a grouping of few of those classics!
n.b. all these were taken from the original vinyls so I hope the levels are ok for you!
enjoy…

::::: As always big-ups to all you listeners, comment makers and fellow b0x mixers 😉
Keep spreading the b00mb0x vibe!
Some crackin tunes on there AGAIN!! I love Lack Of Afro’s tunes, and that’s my joint fav UMC tune along with Poppa Large.
Wow, not one single tune that didnt make me smile out loud !!!
Only complaint would be, it is’nt long enough !!!
Great stuff S.A.T.
Again.
Thank you.
🙂 😀 😛 😆
Cheers for loading the mix up Stu – you knows your music mate – I don’t know if you’ve grabed it already but there’s a nice Lack of Afro track “The Root Down” to download from their website at the moment (get it here!)-check it out if you haven’t – quality!
Hey Firestopper – ah cheers man for such positive vibes & stuff – a real result! I’ll definately try and chat footie more on the lemon jelly forum – promise! 😉
Actually played this very loud tonight (outside) and felt the dj graham b track crashed in somewhat – so apologies for making everyone jump in advance! Too late to change it now etc.
smoke mi ganja pipe n’ go wid de flow
He he bong – when I put alborosie’s ghetto track on this I thought you would like dem der vibes dubstar!
rza instrumental is monster 😀
Yeah that’s right bong – I was really dissapointed by the official Ghost Dog soundtrack. Then a while later I managed to pick up on vinyl the Japanese import “The Real Soundtrack: Beats & Instrumentals” and this is the second half of the opening theme from the film.
ooo. i’ll keep an eye/ear out for that .. cheers.. and the reggae version of the rocky theme.. hahaha
hummed it all day! i have witnesses too 😈
I can confirm:
a) this is a reet funky mix
and
b) bong hummed reggae Rocky until he could hum no more!
you’re gonna eat lightnin’ and you’re gonna crap thunder!

da da darrrrrrrr
I’ve got Root Down already and it’s in a planned hip-hop mix, thanks for mentioning it though.
Cheers again fellas – Funny enough I’ve been humming the damn tune for past few days too – so your not alone bong!
As I’ve said before with any of the trks – if anyone wants em – I’ll be happy to email it on to you!
The track is taken from a strange album of rocksteady and ska style versions of tv & movie themes – 21 of them ranging from Star Wars to Dallas!

Brilliant sounds eminating from the Shed yet again. Played this loads. Also love that Rocky Theme although every time I hear it it always sounds like a closing tune to me(that’s just me though ;)). I must admit it’s a “da da daa, da da daa” for me, humming it makes my lips tickle…
Hey Mr Hidden Persuaders glad you dropped by again to give the shed stuff a listen – mucho appreciated – I’m trying to give more b0x mixes a listen & post a few more comments – gunna get to that drum & bass area of yours as soon as… 😉
I’ve played this one 3 times so far,so I know I’m really enjoying it.Thanks for the insight into the creative process, too. It helps get my interest, altho’,with cuts like 11,12 & 14,it was bound to be a pleaser.
Some great choices on here makes this a great mix. The second half especially put a smile on my face. I can remember listening to The Family Stand 12 inch for days on end when it first came out. 8)
Yep Ken – that Family Stand twelve was one of my anthems back then too – mind you anything with the wild bunch sound was a winner for me then (and still is)!
Just got me broadband back – so gonna catch up with the b0x mixes – been meaning to give your wireless mix a go on my speakers!
