This was originally done for a good mate of mine who loves his roots reggae, but I thought I’d share it with y’all.
Mainly roots, with a sprinkle of dub and ska. As it’s really hard to mix reggae tunes it’s mainly blended rather than mixed.
Should be nice for a summers day, now that the weather’s picking up…..
Thinking about doing a Ska mix as well sometime in the future. I’m also gonna do another Sound As A Pound mix in the next few days (hopefully), that is very similar to the Two Pound mix i.e. a lot of funk and breaks. Will post it on myspace when its done if you’re interested Firestopper (and anyone else)…..
Wow, everyone’s getting all summery on the box, nice! Good to hear Rupie Edwards, that was the 1st dub tune I ever heard, ‘cos it somehow made the UK chart – I remember thinking it was the weirdest thing I’d ever heard. Didn’t go out and buy it though – d’oh! My favourite on here has got to be the Dr Ring Ding track though, that is a tune among tunes! Overall this mix had me smiling, nodding my head and wishing I was at home so I could roll a fat one – oh look, it’s home time! 😀
Yeah nice mix whoever did it 😉 naaaah, thanks ‘scouse, I love me a bit of reggae me, dont know much about it but I know I love this. Been trying to do me own fave dub/reggie stuff but keep getting sidetracked 😉 cheers hp
I’d recommend all of the artists in terms of getting their albums, apart from Dr Ring Ding, who I don’t know much about apart from “Rudeboy Style” is a quality tune. Personally love all them, but “Bathroom Skank” and “Cool Breeze” just very slightly edge it for me.
Dangerscouse compiled the tracks, mixed them, did sound editing and produced it domestic. Bong produced it overseas. I pirated bootleg copies as myself.

Cheers mate! Glad you liked it. I always enjoy a bit of reggae on a summers day, and this has got some of my favourite tunes on there.
The original comment (which has now been edited) was because originally there was three identical posts from Firestopper……not because I’m a twat!
that was me who edited out the triple reply. soz for any confusion/defamation of character… 😉
Can I add my apologies for the triple slip up lads ?
Y’see, I was so excited by the mix, me fingers were all a tremble, so I’ve obviously hit the send too many times ? !! 🙄
Cant get enough of this like !!
Splendid stuff.
😛
Me and mr lovely discussed this last night – the first reggae mix of the year normally denotes the onset of summer – I’ll be on this tonight 😈
Apologies will ALWAYS be accepted!!!

cheers but really it was nothing! 😈
I had a look for Dr Ring Ding on discogs.com and apparently he/they are German!
Oops – what have I started! Must remember to turn off laptop before drinking.
Of course, I meant Dangerscouse. Does exactly what it says on the rin-tin-tin.
whoa. much much thanks. this is the summer roots mix i have been looking for. 😀
Very enjoyable, warm, relaxing and filled with that ska/roots unique beauty that I love.
Bliss!
Bit late in the day – but had to drop a line to say this is brill for chillin’ in the garden!
The weather said do a rewind on this, so I did, & now I’m grinnin like a fool !
