Here’s your beach soundtrack!
Milk & Sugar, Raul Rincon, David Vendetta, Ian Pooley… all in the same mix? A dead giveaway that this is feelgood house.
Dj Tom Edwards — I know you’ve been waiting for this and I hope it was worth it. It’s not tribal disco in the sense of a hard Steve Lawler set; this is more of a warm house set with tribal drums sprinkled throughout each tune (especially towards the end half of the mix). I’d love to hear what you think. And Lirpa, whatya think??? Come on man, I gotta know!!!
…Yeah Bong, the last two tracks’r fur you, big cat.
a little bit too ibiza for me but overall a fun mix. i do like drum so the last tune did it for me i’m a sucker for that riddim. bit cheesey the vocals. sounded like sting wanting to break into the dance scene . roooooooooooooxaaaaaaaan 😈 but as ever vepik does the main room. he gets the birds throwing the knickers at him 😈
*ring ring*
“Hello? Oh hey! Sting, yeaaaah… yeah lis–what? No, you won’t be in the next mix. Stop yelling and listen! I tried weening you into the dance set with the imitation track you gave me and… what? Yeah, I did, swear to god! LISTEN!! They didn’t like it, so I’m cancelling our contract pend–scuse me? So the fuck WHAT if it’s free, I neeeeeed to be better than Lirpa!! Hey, hello?!”
Fucker hung up on me.
What’s even funnier is, over here the “main room” mixes would sound something like really hard progressive/trance, so to everyone over here this is a chilled mix.
Long story short, no american birds throwing knickers at me… which means I’ll be moving soon. Real soon… 8)
Hang on, got another call… “Hello? Oh hey Kraft, yeah about those vocals you gave me…” 😉
Forgot to mention Bong, next month’s mix is springtime deep house. I know that’s up your alley… really uplifting, spacey stuff. Roll up a good one for then!
Yeah, been eagerly anticipating this mix and it opens with a corker of a tune. Haven’t had chance to listen to it yet but I’ll give it a bash in a mo.
Lost my internet connection for 3 weeks so I’m seriously behind with the mixes on here.
Theres a new one on the way from me too in the next week which’ll be the follow up to ‘It’s Just Around The Corner…’. Again heavily influenced by the more Latin and Brazilian side of House with plenty of Jazzyness.
Will comment on this as soon as I’ve given it a good airing! 🙂
As Bong quite rightly said, the ladies would be throwing their undies at you for this one.
Starts with a house classic and progresses nicely. Very much enjoyed it!
My personal fave mix of yours has to be Lazy//Sexy 17 – but thats probably because its the mix that is most like the style of House that I love and mix.
