This is about women who sings.
In all kinds of styles, I tried to mix several styles of different music.
Hopefully, many of you will redsicover some of those classics, as well as
discover some nice new music.
Loved it. Great selection.
Especially loved Regina Spektor – Fidelity,
Ani di Franco – Wishin’ and hopin’ and of course a favourite like Carole King – Crying in the rain.
And Kate Bush – This woman’s work almost got me crying man. 😯 (?!)
A really splendid set.The transitions tend toward mildly challenging, yet are most successful. The first is a good example of this.Big kudos to you for making it so.
The strong performance overcomes the stylistic weakness of some of the mellower ones.I don’t mind mellow folk,or such, but it has to have at least a creative edge, like the peggy lee.A finestkind track.
Had a wonderful time with this one,Thanks for posting!

As for Kate Bush, did I ever mentionned it was one of my favourite artist ? (and when she collaborates with Peter Gabriel, I’m in heaven).
Last words, Ani di Franco’s Wishin’ and hopin’ is just a cover, but I prefer it to the original (I first heard it in Nip-tuck, an overal good show that contains lots of good music).
I hope I can make another nice contribution next month.

Regina Spektor is great and that’s a lovely song.

Love the mixes that you manage to slip in there, bloody hard to do with this type of music.
Overall, really enjoyed it, especially Lavay Smith; love boogie woogie music. Made me think about doing a jazz-style mix as well.
I agree with you all, Spektor’s song is brilliant (so as the rest of the cd btw).
concerning the type of music I put in my mixes, I just try to be original each time, putting new kind of music.
I wish some of you guys go out and investigate An Pierlé, a Belgian artist that deserve recognition out of our boundaries.
