Similar in style to the other two, but the second half is slightly tougher, still funky, but tougher nevertheless. Again some old, some new, some classics.
Overall I think that this is a better mix in terms of tunes and mixing, but I’ll let you be the judge.
1. Dynamo Productions- Casbah (Beat Daddy Remix)
2. Sagat- Luvstuff
3. All Good Funk Alliance- Hush Puppies
4. B Funk Productions- 3 Bits Enuff
5. Louie Austen- Heaven (Malente Remix)
6. Malente- Til I Die (DJ Love Remix)
7. Killergroove Formula- Peter Gunn (Turntable Detective)
8. DJ Icey- A Little Louder (Kelly Reverb v Funk W Remix)
9. Ils v Who- Sax Trax
10. General MIDI- Never Gonna Stop The Show (Autobot’s Last Bus To Lockwood Ska Remix)
11. Infekto- The Real Funk (Boogie Army Remix)
12. Drummatic Twins- Thinkin’ About You
13. Ali B- Hardway’s Working
14. Drummatic Twins- Feelin’ Kinda Strange (Bass Kleph & Nick Thayer Remix)
Got a fourth one recorded and a fifth planned for the future, but I’ll be going back to my roots for the next mix; got three funk, soul & hiphop mixes ready to be posted that should have been posted ages ago.
Well as expected, this is wicked! LOVE Killergroove Formula- Peter Gunn (Turntable Detective).
Again a great set to warm you up for a saturday night out or a perfect 11 till 1 club set.
Rolls really nicely from the start to the finish, great tempo and wicked style.
Top stuff – eagerly anticipating the next installment 😀
Cheers
Tom
Yeah it’s probably more of a pre-night out mix or to have on when you need to release some pressure!
Next mix is going to a real trip through my musical tastes….by no means is everything covered in it, but it’ll certainly take you all over the place; some hiphop, D&B, rock indie, ska and latin all mixed in.
Interesting comment Matrix, I think this is my best mix to date…but I’m basing that slightly more on mixing than on the tunes.
Cheers for the comments people, and it might be a grower for y’all….apart from Bongy-boy who I know doesn’t get on with breaks too well; he’ll like my Ska & Roots mixes that I’ve got planned though.
Very entertaining.Well-chosen dance tracks all.Great sound overall.Lovely funkiness.Big sound.I like this one very much.it makes me miss the old voting system!
The mixing is fun for me with the forward motion very driving indeed. The textures in the tracks employed by you give it much grip on the ears.I was aquainted with about half of them previously.
Good cover imagery. Nice to have the tracklist featured prominently.
Great! I think it’s the best Sound As mix yet – can’t do much but agree with all the positive comments above, and mention that Infekto “The Real Funk” is one of my favourite tunes – like they say, keep ’em comin’! 😀
Cheers mate!! Personally this one was my favourite. Most of the mixing went as planned and the tunes make me smile!
Gonna be some variety over the next few mixes. Got a brazilian D&B mix recorded and ready to go, and an African/Afrobeat mix & a roots/dub mix ready to be recorded…..also got two other hiphop/funk/soul mixes that are ready to go!

Looking forward to this one, especially after the last ‘Sound as two pound’ mix!
I’m very much hoping that ‘going back to my roots’ means a little bit of Odyssey in your next mix?
Just got myself a mint copy on 12″ 😈
Will leave a comment once I’ve had a listen to this one tonight.
Cheers

about halfway through this one – if the Big Beat is your thing – here it is! For me, bring on the FunkSoulHipHop stuff — nice work Dangerscouse!
Not the sorta thing I’d listen to at home much but would work great in a bar or club. That Peter Gunn tune is feckin awesome!

Not quite as keen on this one compared to the others, though I did like the tougher direction you threw in at the back end.
