While I found it highly appealing,I couldn’t escape the feeling that your playlist is a hoax & this is really just one long track.
In addition that cover is frightening! there’s apparently a bunch of large critters infesting your yard. Not a relaxing sight to a city fella like me.lol 🙂 🙂 🙂 8) 8) 8)
Woke up got out of bed, dragged a comb across my head….had a few pipes….chilled 2 v max…just what I wanted…inspired me to doo doo wop a chillout….not a good year to give up LSD
Can you have a look at how you encoded the mp3? When I play this in iTunes, I cannot skip forward to a later part of the mix (it just keeps playing bits from the start), and when I paused it after 30mins and then restarted, it went back to near the start of the mix again.
Liked what I heard, but not managed to listen to all of it because of these problems.
Good if you can solve the issue and bung a new mp3 on the ftp site so that we can replace it.
fire up your drug of choice and get ready for something special. Shem kick off this mind warping set with a sounscape of echoes, voices, a minimalist beat that flows into Boards Of Canada’s usual style of specialist pads over downtempo beats. A classic Orb keeps the spacey vibe flowing into a classic Lemon Jelly tune. If you haven’t already, make sure you’re sitting down.
Bent’s “Ordinary Day” shows up, and it’s by now you should realize: these songs were made for one another. Each cut is the (one of) the artist’s best cuts; mixing them only combines their potential. Potential for what? Potential to leave you drooling in your living room loveseat like a shortbus occupee. Even Oakenfold makes an appearance here, remixed in such a way that you may see stars if you try to focus.
The mix takes a tempo twist, and the beats pick up. It’s a good thing too; maintaining such a low pulse for too long and you’d be tagged by the morgue. So it picks it up a notch, like System 7’s beautiful “Sunburst”. The Avelanches chime in with “Frontier Pscyhiatrist”, not one of there more known-of tracks, but a definate shoe in for this stellar mix. the mix takes a downtempo, tribal close with Material into the always trippy Death In Vegas. and then, well?
Then you’re left rubbing your eyes, wiping the drool off your chin, wondering where the hell the last hour or so of your life went. Hope you enjoyed the trip; you didn’t even need the drugs.
