Very good! Thought it sagged a little in the middle, couple of tracks I wasn’t quite as keen on as the rest but overall was excellent. Wonderfully chilled.
I’m still having a bit of grief with not sleeping well so this is straight into the 4am rotation. Shame I’ll have to cut the last little bit in order to burn it on to cd but with stuff like An Ending followed by Clair de Lune followed by Spanish Castles in Space followed by Grace I’m not complaining!
lol, im sure it’ll squeeze on a CD mate only 52 secs over. Cheers for the comments/votes guys I had a folder of 108 potential tracks for this mix so im sure there will be a follow up when I get the time.
A very enjoyable mix with excellent track selection.I found the relaxing nature very appealing.A couple times tracks were loud in comparison to others, but that is a minor point indeed.
I also find the stone heads to have a relaxing appearance,hence their appropriateness as the cover image.Nice indeed. 😀 😀 😀 😀 8) 8)
Further Adventures in Orange Blossom by Buff My Pylon
Ease in with Duke Pearson’s production, which sounds like early Air with a full vocal chorus followed by the dreamy pads of none other than Brian Eno. “Clair de Lune” adds a string section to our symphony, and the Orb maintain a delicate chilled vibe. Luke Slater tries his hand at the Brian Eno pad-rich sound, with a vocal followup by Spiritualized and Gus Gus that leaves your senses floating in the pool while the rest of the world whizzes by. It continues it’s chilled, dubby course well into “Spanish Fly”.
Downtempo in it’s dripping, soaked, finest form here folks. Lazy Boy carries this torch and hands it off into more dreamy, ambient soundscapes until a mellow jazzy note gives you the chills. The whole thing just swirls and melts until the lazy vocals and drums of “Holes” leaves you sighing in relief.
Take a deep breath, and dive in. This mix is a treasure of breathy, dreamy, milky rich sounds found at the bottom of the deep blue sea. You certainly won’t drown listening to this mix, but you will feel light-headed.
This is an absolutely GORGEOUS mix.
Thank you SOOO much.
Perfect end of day music.
Gonna be comin back to this without a doubt !!
Good work. 🙂 😀
Oh, and I really like the pre-Xmas Easter cover as well !!
