if the mix is half as good as the artwork, it’s a certain winner.
Have been having some insomniac nights lately so made this to try and help soothe the mind back to sleep.
Theres the best Horizontal sorted…class mix 😛
mmmmm…soporific
nunnite
i’m still enjoying your 10 a.m. mix and now you’ve got another one already? thank goodness for your insomnia 🙂
Absolutely magical, guy. The lkast one was solidly mixed but the tunes weren’t really my bag but this is stunning. The Reminiscent Drive is of course a marvellous way to open proceedings…
Still enjoying the last one but this is even better. I love this sort of stuff and I deffo agree with the The Bostin Sap about A Reminiscent Drive. Great stuff mmate mwude 🙂
top shelf man………this is right up my alley….was my soundtrack for my walk with my daughter yesterday…..best walk i’ve had in along time…..brillant.
Great mix this, would quite easily stand up as a commercial release. Snippets of tracks that aren’t even mentioned in the tracklisting -would be interested in knowing the complete listing some time. Thanks so much. 😀
I didn’t really have space to list all the snippets. Just some bits of “The Universal” by Blur, “Les Nuits” by Nightmares on Wax, “Operator” by Artifex, “Music for Insyde” by Fred Deakin.
The hypnotism stuff is a guy called Randy Thomas and the buddhist teachings are from Geshe Kelsang Gyatso (and are unfortunately encoded at a really crappy bitrate). There’s a few various BBC sound effects in there as well.
My favourite bits are those odd foreign repetitive radio things. Can’t remember where I got them from sadly cos I’m sure there was some intriguing story attached.
Yeah, was delightful when The Universal came in first time I listened to this and then straight back out, lovely touch. I liked the opening bass licks from Melody Nelson too just for a few bars in transition, worked a charm mate. Pretty old-school mix in some ways, the type of stuff you always used to introduce to me from other b00mb0xers, done with real care and thought. V V V Gut.
I havn’t finished listening yet, but, this excites me, which isn’t good for sleep. Lot’s of tracks, I don’t know, which is good. As I think, sometimes, these mixes are here to intoduce you to something new.
The overall feel has a “fluffy friday” written all over it.
La Vie Est Belle !!
lookin’ forward to hearing this 😀
Top class stuff. Exactly my bag and really well done. I’ll put my hands up and say I love “The Universal” in all it’s forms so it was good to hear even just a snippet here. Well played Mwude – I’ll have to dip into your archived mixes as well.
Now, if I can just remember how to vote… 😀
The perfect lullaby dub fest for grown ups
Lots of songs, most of them to my musical tastes.
Job well done sir.
Sssh… by Mwude
Rich, sweeping sounds of A Reminiscent Frive and Spiritualized fluff our pillows for this relaxer of a mix. Flowing into the “No Surprises Beat”, the mix continues to flow like clouds that refuse to follow the sun down. Air makes a hip-hop infused appearance here, completely in their element carried. Afterwards things quiet down and get increasingly provcative, with a major focus on melodies and sounds rather than beats.
This mix will leave you airborn and refreshed, all without the side effects of the typical sleep aid medication.
fantastic mix mate, played this last night under the guise of i really need summit to mello me mind out and this did the job and more. and now im playing it again and it’s melting me into the sofa… 😈
Thanks for this devastatingly beautiful mix Mwude!
Artwork will be the winner of best mix cover 2006, no need for a poll here…
Awesome job, mate – bloody lovely.
A beautiful piece.Very intricate at times & still mellow as all get out.Love the cover as well.Best wishes with the insomnia.I did a sleep study recently & found out I can’t sleep with electrodes wired up all over my body.lol 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
Monsiuer Mwude, purveyor of low slung electronica since I don’t know when. 🙂
Great mix, super relaxed, great samples and perfect for stopping me getting annoyed when doing a spot of DIY on sunday.
Cheers fella – best chilled mix I’ve heard on here since I did one. 😉
Finally got around to listening to this, and it didnt disappoint. Quality chilled tunes.
Don’t know how you do it Mwude, every genre you try, you master it.
Great stuff. I’ve always had the intention of doing a mix like this but I don’t think I’ll bother now.
I loved it all but in particular the mixing of Air with the UMCs was sublime and I had forgotten about that Portishead remix. Great selection.
I found this mix on my PC, not in the correct B00mb0x download directory, so late in listening to it. I put it on my MP3 player & listened whilst having to work on Xmas day….I am so glad I did. Gave me a warm fuzzy feeling & allowed my mind to wander whilst having to boring database updates….just what the DR ordered.
I’m desperate to find out what the track is that starts just after 64 minutes. It’s the deep synth with the repetitive sound (possibly a very muffled vocal).
mwude/anyone? Really, really need to know.
