Cheers Ken. Yeah, Twin Peaks was one of my influences on this mix. The idea was to do an imaginary score to a film I only know the title of.
There is a “Door in the Floor” movie, but I don’t know much about it so thought it was a perfect candidate. I’d actually be interested to hear what the real score to the movie is. Bet it’s nothing like mine.
Anyway, I’m quite pleased with how it turned out so am glad you’re liking it too. 8)
I just watched that film too. Usually Focus Features puts out relativly provocative pieces — this one, however, was just downright awkward. Unlike your mix, though: downright interesting.
You should make it an attempt to request the rights to produce Focus’s next soundtrack! 😉
this had me reaching for the acid at an ungodly hour but i realised that i had no acid. dilema i thought so i ate some moldy bread instead.. only then did i notice we had a door in the wall but i was too scared to go thru it 😈
Ah well, I haven’t listened to this for at least 18 months and had begun to think it was one of my lesser efforts, but revisiting it today with fresh ears, I really liked it. Probably the best transitions between songs I’ve ever managed. Lucky accident I think.

Watched the film today. – Rubbish!
Jeff Bridges is on form though. The man’s a god.

Well, hope that means you liked it.
Is it bad form to comment on your own mixes?
