Wicked intro, strong form throughout the whole mix… this is one for the weekend warriors!! No complaints on the mixing tip either, everything here worked out great.
Halfday, good to have you here. Looking forward to more of your work!
Halfday, I keep coming back to this mix. It’s one of my absolute faves… any chance you could encode this monster at 320 bps? I wanna play it out sometime.
Right away, you’ve got something red hot: the passionate, somewhat tribal intro by Chocolate Puma is expertly mixed into the warm disco cut “Feels Good”. The disco only gets warmer and smoother, as Micky G’s vocal talent soars. That bassline carries into the Sugarstar mix of “In My Life” to introduce, subtly, an electric guitar with yearning female vocals. That electric guitar kicks into high gear with one of the Discoboys’s more well known production, “For You”.
By now, you’re a mess, completely soaked in your own sweat. But so is everyone else, so don’t worry ’bout it. The next keeps the tropical disco thermostat set on high, and throws a slew of excellent saxaphone-house uptempo gems your way. In keeping with tradition, “Mas Que Nada” presents another tune with sexy, driving vocals. “Midnite Expresso”, the closer, encompasses what this set is essentially about: sexy, upbeat, tropical latin house.
Governments around the world convened recently to discuss the heating of the earth’s climate. Bad news for them: it’s Halfday’s mix that’s melting the ice caps, not global warming.
