Always like to here when uncommon genres are mined . I’ve been wanting to here a set by The Siren Suite, and this is the closest so far. Very varied and quality tracks. Nice one!
A really brave mix which I really enjoyed – my only minus point was the electronic ending.
I often wonder why people that are bowled over by “new age” stuff never actually listen to classical music. An orchestra in full swing is a beautiful thing!
Dude – thought you were going to move away from the PC – get some fresh air – dont suppose there’s much beatmatching going on with this stuff – or how about a good A + B + C + D – “Beethovan’s 9th Symphony in the Hall of Tchaikovky’s 7th Gymnopedie” – I’m such a pleb – who’d have thought I actualy worked in a University’s classical dept. Will download later on & give it a good listen – will be a refreshing change.
Well I had a listen & although it’s not something I would listen to often, I know someone who will really appreciate this (except for the last track). I salute Mwude with the Boombox bravery award for doing something different to the usual combination that gets posted here.
Now where’s that Country & Western mix I was working on.
hehe! It’s actually an idea I’ve had for ages. This music means as much to me as any other stuff I’ve posted here before. Didn’t bother mixing it smoothly simply because I found it too hard (no beats = difficult to beat-match). And I’m quite lazy.
I found it difficult to strike a balance between populist, well-known stuff and slightly more obscure modern stuff. But I’ve not done it to be ‘different’ or ‘brave’. I’ve done it because I think every last track I put in there is a fucking beautiful work of art. Particularly the bit from Faure’s Requiem which I think is one of the most sublime pieces of music ever written.
Great mix mwude…….i like classical……more your pop classical though…..you know the stuff you find on the greatest classical music cd ever…….great mix, nice one.
The best track is obviously ‘The Champions League’, although you’ve obviously copied the title down incorrectly as it’s not by Handel, it’s by Bryan Moore.

A self-fulfilling prophecy!
Just kidding, it was great to put me to sleep, worked so much better than my usual speed-gabba-glitchcore compilations…
I’m quite keen on the concept mixes, this follows nicely in the footsteps of your jazz mix, which was top dollar.
I thought this was great, really enjoyed the tracks. Nice and different.
my wife and i love this!! good work!!

c’mon, man. you know you did it to help pull the birds 😀
but seriously, i’m not much of a classical fan but i think it’s cool you did this. especially if you were lazy about it 😉
