Many of the above songs were edited, cutted and I added several samples from other
songs, here’s the full list of what you’ll hear :
Powermad – Slaughterhouse
Brian Wilson – Good Vibrations
Michael Jackson – Billie Jean
Vincent Price – Thriller rap
Cutting Crew – Died in your arms
Queen :
It’s a kind of magic
Somebody to love
Under pressure
I want to break free
Flash
Don’t stop me now
I’m going slightly mad
Prince – Kiss
Stretch – Why did you do it
I’ll explain a bit what I tried to make with this one :
As it was my first ACID only mix, I wanted it to sound unusual, thus, choosing unusual tunes was a good choice in that optic.
Next, I wanted it to be as polished as possible (with the skills I got at hand, that is).
And last I wanted it to require several listenings in order to be fully “enjoyed”.
I included a part of the queen megamix I’m currently working on (and this is quite a difficult job to do as their music is very different from period to period).
I must have listened to it a hundred times in the making, I know every single song (and tens of others I tried to include as well), so I can only but enjoy all the tunes I’ve put in here (even though, at the begining, I didn’t like at all at least one third of the tunes).
I’d like to ask one thing to you :
Were the stereo samples too much ? I think I’ve placed here and there too many of left-right samples, but it’s only my opinion…
Anyway, I knew this wouldn’t be much popular because of the tracks selected, but hey… that’s not a problem, is it ?

Is it me or is the quality of mixes getting better and better.
An excellent mix thats that is consistently interesting from start to finidh
Good work Dez!
very cool nod to the NY sound of the early 80’s post punk and Moroder-esque disco . Sweet mix!
Agreed – enjoyed this one.
My wife turned it off though…she doesn’t agree 😉
