thoughts of “take off and landing” and where did I get that, are now running through my head. Thanks for the memories. We have now reached tokyo’s underground airport.

Good to see someone else bought Fax releases besides me. Very cool and varied. Global Comm, St Etiene, Barbarella, Gentle People – marks of quality.

Thanks for the comments. If anyone else has had a listen, let me know what you think.

Solcofn: I guess you’ll have already heard this from FreshlyMixed last year before my webhost pulled it…

tlj: Take-off and Landing is an amazing album, one of my all time favourites. It deserved loads more attention than it got. Have you heard “Pan-Am Sound of 70s” as well?

Briscoe: Some names you can trust there… I’m fond of all the Fax stuff but looking back, maybe they could have done with a few fewer releases and a bit better quality control. I reckon “Air” and “The Definitive Ambient Collection” are classics though.

Mark: I copied the woob album from a friend, so only had it on tape and hadn’t listened to it again until I got hold of a CD version last year and remembered how ace it is – especially “Odonna”.

    and relax.

stonking mix, with a judicious use of samples, which i usually don’t like in mixes
